Hotpoint Fridge freezer FFA90 - Noisy fan top fridge
I have a FFA90 Fridge freezer by hotpoint. The fridge fan makes such a lot of noise even when door is closed. Currently displaying 5 degrees on the info screen. How can I stop this annoying noise of the fan turning over?
In the past the reason has been that a feezer compartment is not shut properly. And when checked and closed correctly the noise has stopped.

This appears to be a temperature sensor which has failed or is outside of tolerance. It will be seen in the manual and is attached directly to the coil. The bus it is connected to will have two wires running to it. In order to read the sensor . A digital multi -meter is necessary to read the DC voltage. The tolerances are in the repair manual.
i have the same problem. took apart the vent in the fridge at the top and thought maybe it needed replacing as that controls the amount of cold coming up from the freezer, but there doesn't seem to be any cold coming through. does anyone know if this is 'blown' through by a fan of some sort?
The fridge gets its cold air from the freezer through a vent(damper) between the freezer and fridge. There is a flap you adjust with the fridge temp. control. Make sure it's opening and closing when you adjust the fridge temp. The problem could be the electronic control if you have one or the mechanical linkages.
hotpoint ffa90, I have fridge and freezer problem, non of them are keeping the required temperature though the fridge temperature is showing the right temperature but not cold and the freezer is not freezing as it is contstant between -2 to -5 but it should be
-22, the fast freeze bottom does not fridge either, it does not take instruction.
the problem is there is a build up of ice insid of the freezer .
What you need to do is take out all your draws in the freezer and you will see a plastic backing held on with about 8 screws . undo all the screws and the back should come aay and you will see all the ice built up . just use a hair drier to melt the ice and that should cure your problem.
