This may be a little late but the answer is "there is no battery". The whole face except for the display is a solar cell. Use it in plenty of light and it will stay on. If you block the light while using it and the internal storage cap has a small charge on it the display will turn off.
You may use Xbox 360 Universal Media Remote. It supports DGM and Digimate TV's officially. You can buy it in GameStop stores from 10$. Codes for DGM - 1435, 1890, 2020, 1581, 2059, 2165, 2282, 2283, 2062, 3045. For Digimate - 0890, 2020, 1581.
I know what this is, when you changed your battery you reset your in dash cd player. Shuting off the security code. you need to take it to a shop or at the worst your local Dealership and they can reset the security code on your radio and it should work proper again. This is an anti theft device that disables the deck if it is removed from the dash Or from power. Hope that helps.

The CD changer probably failed to establish it's link to the head unit when you put the new battery in.
Since you've already tried the clear button, I'd suggest unplugging the IP-BUS cable (black cable) from the back of the changer, wait a minute (literally, 60 seconds) and plug it back in.
