Hi , if you have the rec. signal in the display that mean evry thing is going good exept the head needs leaning too ways to have it solved if you know about cleaning then take off the cassete cover by unscew the two screws then with a clean white piece of paper hold it in one hand over the head cylender and with the second hand rotate the cylender some turnes and re record and check if you don't want or know how to open and do it just use the head cleaning tape and buy one if u don't have and play it in the cam., so easy , please don't forget to rate ,thanx
