Normally, the system monitors the battery and updates the screen display of the battery's charge in a "periodic" manner. This means that the length of the timing cycle depends on what else is running. If the battery is discharging faster than the display cycle for that app, the state of the battery display is "late". Actual power status is a "High priority" and the display of that status is "low priority". It is MOST likely that if your "run time" has become shorter, your battery is on the way out. The other possibility is that if the real run time is ok, then there is a process that has interfered with the "system" process timing in such a way that the battery status is not being serviced properly. If you have installed "after market" battery monitoring apps, be advised that they can cause excess battery drain as well as timing issues and data leakage to outside sources "ie. spyware". There are only three things that cause computers to not work as expected; 1) bad hardware {battery?) or 2) bad software (malware?) or 3) bad expectations.

- Check the display controls below the LCD Screen to change them.

Try uninstalling the TS from the control panel-system-devices (hardware).
Reboot and reinstall the drivers when asked.
The driver must match the OS.
The TS may be defective, does it operate proper on another Pc?
