I finally got the phone to recognize the music files after the "MicroSD does not contain supported music files." error on the phone. The music files will play correctly through the computer, but when played through the phone, the songs all play as if in fast forward?? I used a card reader and dragged and dropped the music files from the music folder on my notebook to the my music folder on the SD card. The music files are ripped in WMA format.

ok the music kit had virtually no instruction and was tricky main thing is you cannot hook up the phone and cable to the computer first or together first thing run the disc or download the software from the link listed in the booklet then plug in your cable no phone and reboot to detect the plug and play device it will run its own drivers just hit yes to everything and let the wizard install it then plug in your phone and it will run its own separate drivers again hit yes let it run and then it will be able to sync when you press sync it will pull all of your music to a file remember this location write it down or you will be lost if you unhook it whille its transferring or want to use it later then drag and click the music from your media player over to the music kit software it will transfer it over for you its alot i know im sorry let meknow if you have trouble i was an alltel customer serivce rep for three years ill do my best by memory to help you out since I was recently laid off from verizon downsizing the alltel call centers

Try to run the files you got from your music player on to your desktop, see if that works. It simply looks like the files you had on your card are corrupted, maybe u need to delete these files and format you card, and then load music on it.
1. Install the sd into the phone.
2. Go to Menu > Settings > USB > Mass Storage
3. Connect the MotoVE240 to your PC via USB
4. Under My Computer open drive (E:).
5. Find the folder that has your music in it. Example: My compter made a folder called Music.
6. Drag music from that folder to the my_music folder. (the phone will only read music that is in this folder.)
7. remove your phone from the usb
8. press the music note on your phone and enjoy your music
I have a similar problem, the issue for me was windows media player was creating a folder called music on my sd card and uploading the music there during sync function. However, the phone only looks in the \my_music folder on the SD card. Sync your phone, then rename the newly created music folder to my_music and the player will work. Still looking for a permanent solution to this problem.
I went back to the US Cellular store and presented the problem to the salesman that sold me the phone. He said that I needed to remove the memory card and put it in a card reader and transfer the music files to the card through the card reader. My Gateway desktop has a card reader and I transferred the music files to the card and then to My Music folder under My computer and it worked. Strange to have to do it this way but it works.
