Stand-by flashing Occasionally the the stand-by button will flash nine times and the TV will not come on. After some time the TV will come on, unplugging it some times seems to to help. It has been getting worse as time goes by. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks Tony

On that particular model you need to press the power button nine additional times waiting for the light to Blink 9 times each and then after the 9th time the procedure is as follows... Press the button 4 times hold for seconds on the fifth button push then release for 4 seconds then press the button twice and it should blink 8 times repeat this procedure continuously until the button only lights up once. After the button lights only once then you are ready to place the item into a garbage bag and throw it into the dump

you need to replace the deflection board PSB260 you can get the replacement deflection board from www.tvrepairworld.com

the problem is your tv is cold soldered (electronics parts is loosens) so do not use first the tv because if you use it again again the tv is destory any parts is change.try to go the expert technician

CK 3 capacitors on Deflection board bootom board to he left if cp150 2200uf 16v is puffed up it is bad other 2 are 220uf 35v cp114 cp120

If your a novice at TV repair don't try it. A Sony authorized repair station knows what this problem is and should be cheaper in the long run for them to repair it.

nine blinks means that there is a short inside the set you will have to find a tech to troubleshoot the set most probably is the G pcb

I had the same problem with Sony KV-32fs120 with 9 blinks. Replaced D645 and D647 on main board with 1.5A1KV diodes from Radio Shack which did the trick.

When i try to turn it on the power button flashes a code. The power button lights up once for a second, then turns off, then flashes quickly nine times and lights up once again for a second before turning off. The screen doesnt turn on at all, nor do the speakers. Any help would be highly appreciated.

you have a regulator problem my friend in the power supply or there is a fault in the G board. This is not a repair an untrained person should attempt, please get a pro to assist you in this repair.
