The correct remote transmitter for the AL-700LC is the AU-3TLC. Unfortunately that particular remote is discontinued but there is a suitable replacement, AU-3TAL3. The AU-3TAL3 only differs in case style. The remote can be purchased from the Omega Research and Development, the makers of the AL-700LC, website.
The AU-3TLC and AU-3TAL3 are trinary (3-state) remote transmitters. Programming the remotes require the cutting of traces on the circuit board. On the back side circuit board, the side without the components, there are solder pads labeled 1 through 10. Each solder pad has to tracks / traces, one above and one below. The traces on the numbered side of the solder pad is the positive side. The inside trace, no number, is the negative side. When both traces for a particular pad is cut, the state is neutral. You need to match the cut traces exactly as your original remote.
The best way I have found to cut the traces is to use a dremel type tool. You can also use a tip of a knife, a scratch awl, or any sharp pointed tool to scratch the trace away until an open is achieved. Just be careful not to cut any traces that should not be cut.

I don't have a button and it wont start how to fix 1996 gmc jimmy

If factory alarm, lock drivers door with key, wait an hour should automatically reset, if it's a factory alarm and you have no keypad. Try removing the fuse for the alarm and wait a few minutes and replace fuse and see if it will reset the alarm.
If its an aftermarket alarm system, look under plastic panel below steering wheel for a plastic black box that is about the size of a deck of cards, izip tied or just hanging with a plugin with several different colored wires and unplug it. That will shutdown an aftermarket alarm and vehicle should crank

Car wont start, lights and horn are on

This sounds like the antitheft system is on, use key and go to driver door, shut the door then use the key to lock and then unlock the door, then try to start the car, by unlocking the door with the key will shut alarm down, if this doesnt work then go to passenger door and do the same thing, let me know how it goes, good day.

I am trying to figure out how to set the scanner frequencies

  1. Press hold then enter then enter the channel number where you want to store a frequency. Then press "FUNC" and "PGM" and the channel number will appear.
  2. Use the number keys to enter a frequency including the decimal point you want to store.
  3. Press "E" to store the frequency into the channel.
  4. Note - If you entered an invalid frequency in step two "ERROR" will appear and it will beep three times. Enter a valid frequency.
  5. The scanner automatically rounds the entered number to the nearest valid frequency. ie an entry of 155.174 will automatically be rounded to 155.175
  6. When you enter a frequency into a channel, the scanner automatically turns on the delay function and "DLY" appears. When delay is turned on the scanner automatically pauses scanning.

Remote won't work, can't start car (alarm system goes off) Also, key won't turn manually in door. FYI` car battery replaced a few months ago. Also tried replacing batteries in remote. When I parked the...

Open the trunk with the key, it will disable the alarm. You probably need a new door lock cylinder, which you should look into. They're easy to replace, but take a while to get, as they have to be coded for your key. You can also remove the door lock cylinder by loosening the t20 torx screw near the door handle until the lock cylinder slides out(DO NOT LOOSEN MORE THAN NECESSARY TO GET THE LOCK CYLINDER OUT), then use a flathead screwdriver through the hole to activate the lock.

The car alarm goes off and won't allow the car to crank. I had a window replaced in the drivers door and the automatic locks don't work what can I do. do i need a code to reset the alarm

whomever replaced the window removed the alarm harness. have the panel removed and check that the alarm harness is still attached to the back of the lock cylinder, Also you may try to unlock the car from the passenger side to disarm the alarm.

Jeep alarm will not turn off

The ignition security on/off is located at the trunk lock. unlock and lock rear gate and the alarm will turn off. My jeep sat in my drive for a month before a jeep tech told me this. It still triggers the security sometimes when I unlock the passenger door with the key and I go straight to the rear gate lock and it shuts off instantly.
