If warm air is still coming from the unit, but the drum is not rotating, it sounds like your drive motor is fine, but your drive belt is broken. Depending on you dryer model, these can be fairly easy to check, or may take a little creativity to get the dryer apart. Knowing your dryer model number would go a long way towards assisting further.

Coins inside Kennmor dryer drum paddles

You will need a thin putty knife. Run the drier to get it warm inside. Use the putty knife to slip under the paddles and lift them just enough to let the coins drop out when you rotate and raise the drum on that side.

I have a whirlpool dryer and the heating eleiment is getting hot but the dryer inside is barley warm

Inside of the dryer gets warmed up when the drum rotates as there is circulation of air. Hope your clothes are drying. If it takes long time then clean the screen filter as it gets clogged with the flint from clothes. As a matter of routine clean this filter every time you use it before starting the drying process.

LG DLE5977W electric dryer hums when attempting to restart

This is usually the motor but not always. Remove the belt. Check for obstructions in the blower fan housing. Manually rotate the shaft of the motor.
If the motor is very stiff, or impossible to rotate manually, and the blower fan housing is clear, you need to replace the motor. If the motor rotates freely, run the motor momentarily with the belt removed and the blower in place. If the motor runs fine with the belt removed, there may be a problem with the idler pulley or the clothes drum. Try to rotate the drum by hand. If it is very difficult to move, correct any problem with the rollers, pulley, rear bearing, then reassemble the dryer and try it again. If the motor hums but doesn't rotate on its own even with the belt removed--yet you can turn it freely by hand--you usually need to replace the motor or the motor start capacitor. My dryer drum is rotating and the heater is working, but condensation is building up in the drum instead of dispersing. No matter how long the cycle, the clothes don't dry. I've checked the filter, vent...

Can you feel air blowing out the vent on the dryer itself? The reason I ask is if you dont feel any air blowing out your blower fan isnt working and wouldn't matter if vent was clear if you dont have any air movement.

Dryer drum stopped rotating, dryer blower continues to work.

The belt probably broke, and coincidentally happened while drying the shoes. The belt is easy to replace. Open the back and you'll probably see the belt laying on the bottom

I have a GE electric dryer which was bought new but not used for the past 4 yrs. When I tried to use it the clothes were not dry enough. When I tried to run a bit more by changing the settings, the switch...

There is a switch on the motor that parallels the momentary switch you are pushing. If this has been sitting awile it may be stuck. Im not sure if you can manually unstick it, you may have to get a repairman.

Dryer drum won't rotate

if there is no air coming out of your vent on back of dryer then it would be likely your motor has gone out.
