My oven keeps turning itself off

I have a De dietrich oven, and it keeps turning itself off at random times E.g in the middle of cooking a roast dinner! somedays it works with no problems other days it wont work at all. I think the timer may have something to do with it as when the problem occurs the timer returns back to 0.00. Hope you can help.

After accidentally switching on pyrolysis, the oven now turns itself off intermittently.  Is there a solution to rectify this?

SIMILAR PROB WITH A NEFF. NOTHING TO DO WITH TEMP TOO HIGH. HAPPENS EVEN WHEN OVEN OFF. TIMER STARTS FLASHING 00:00 AS IF AFTER POWER CUT. OVEN WILL NOT WORK TILL RESET

The oven may be trying to protect itself because of a faulty device that says "I'm too hot". As electric clothes dryers have a thermal high temp limit switch to protect them, look for this device (may be 1 inch round with 2 wires connected) and replace it

The Problem with De Dietrich ovens is that they need the power switch on all the time otherwise the over will switch off during cooking. Something to do with the electronic need power.

De Dietrich DOD788B is not switching on. None of the digital buttons work except for the timer, but the clock is on.

ovens can sometimes need a time set on the clock, it dose not need to be the right time but it must be at a time ie not flashing

My de dietrich DOP770X4 oven won't stop beeping and it keeps turning on and off randomly

Try resetting it by the outlet it is plugged into, shut power off at the breaker/fuse box wait a few seconds then turn breaker back on.

I have just purchased a Double Oven model D.O.D 788x5 very happy with it except it is very noisy whilst cooking it sounds like a fan is this normal I purchased this from John Lewis M.K. I feel that the...

This is quite normal.

Most ovens are fan assisted these days it gives more even temperature distribution and faster cooking times.

You will probably get used to the noise fairly quickly.

De Dietrich Oven - Clock tripping back to 00:00 means I cant turn on my oven!

its a fix more than a solution but you can bypass the clock thus allowing the oven to operate again
unplug at the mains and remove the oven from the housing remove the two fastening screws from the metal lid on the top of the oven ,and remove the lid
you will see the timer back panel with 3 wires coming to it, 2 are black (switching line) and 1 is red (Live feed to timer )
If you pull the connectors from the 2 black wires from the timer board and connect the ends together using a connector block, the timer switch becomes inactive and allows the oven functions to operate again.
you will have no timer functions but its a cheap fix and who uses the timer any way
good luck Andy B
ps if anyone has a set of operating manuals for ths oven i would be glad of a copy
