I have this 5 in 1 card reader on my Tablet and it used to work pretty fine. But now, when I insert the card reader in nothing seems to happen... No extra drive appears on My Computer window as it used to come previously. But when you open the safely remove hardware icon (from where the clock is) it does show the Card reader as active on there.
Please let me know how to fix this problem..

Sometimes when you insert sd card into a card reader, the card reader will not always work, I have had problems like this, so either try another USB port on the computer, or clean the contacts on both sd card & card reader.
I will assume you are finding the procedure to remove battery for the ACER travelmate C300 tablet PC. Best way would be to go to page 50 in the service manual available at this site. http://tim.id.au/laptops/acer/travelmate%20c300.pdf
The battery not charging could simply be the battery is old and dead or the charging circuit is faulty. Start with the adapter in that case as it is cheapest to replace.
If you are removing parts to diagnose further then I would strongly suggest you video what you are doing in order to get back to where you started.
you can try changing the output of the travelmate, to VGA Or External Device.
ensure you have the correct output lead from computer to projecter. Then on your keyboard you should have a button that changes the output. i.e numerical 5-6-7 or 8. usually says LCD/VGA et,c.
failing this try altering the output in the systems bios setup.
you can enter this by pressing F2 Or esc at bootup.
if your unsure, and none of this helps, i,d suggest visiting acers site. and downloading the user manual(s)
The Tablets can be quite difficult to perform a reimage or recovery on as most bios versions on them do not recognise a USB device as bootable.
My recommendation would be to obtain a Bootable Floppy disk that contains an imaging program. (GHOST. Powerquest etc).
From here you may have 2 options available to you. 1. Attempt to recover using the hidden partition on your hard drive.
2. Recover from an image located via the network. You will need to ensure that a driver for your network card is also bundled into this install. Once this boothdisk has been created you will need to create a "shared folder" on another PC which contains the image you require. Once the bootdisk has loaded point yourself to the shared folder.
Lastly - You may be able to find an updated bios version that allows boot from USB device.
Replace the keyboard easily available for cheap. Get full manual at Acer website but replacement is easy, be careful of the clips holding the connection to the motherboard, don't remove just slide upward to release..
