I took your advice, but was scared because it always sounded like formatting reset the whole device and needed additional software downloaded to it to work again. I tried WMP first and then Best Buy's Digital Music software, which ultimately did the trick. THANKS!

In your windows media you will see the device name listed..you have to make sure the device is under MTP mode..then click on the player and you will see all the songs...you can just right click on the songs and delete them..if you dont want the device to sync automatically you can click on sync and then click on the device name and click on sync setting..there you can modify if you want it to sync automatically..

What I had to do was go on Windows Media Player (the program I use to get the songs on the mp3) and there was a file for my sansa and i just clicked on playlist. Try connecting your Mp3 and go to the program you use.

Deleting music off of my sansa E250r!!HLP ME

If you originally used rhapsody (or began in Rhapsody mode) , you have to use rhapsody to remove the songs. If that doesn't work, you can manually open the music folder by enabling "hidden folders" under "tools" -> "folder options..." -> click the "view" tab -> scroll and check "show hidden files and folders". Then go to My Computer -> Sansa e250 -> "system" -> "music" -> then delete the songs. I don't know the effects of using this method, so use it at your own risk.

Btw, Real Player should do fine as well.

Simple. If you want to delete a certain tune do the following: 1. Connect it to the coputer. 2. Click on "My computer" 3. Click on the Sansa icon 4. Browse the folders and delete the files you don't want. If you want to delete the entire disk 1. Connect it to the computer. 2. Click on "My computer" 3. Right Click on the sansa 4. Click on Format. How to delete??

All Right, Hot Pokie, you have to use the synchro function on WMP or Go to My Computer if the former doesn't work. Plug you Sansa In and It will show up as a MTP player ( If you Dont have it showed up set it to MSC in Options) Go to Media then music then browse until you find the song and kill it by right clicking and selecting DELETE. This may mess your songs if you don't do it right and if that happens I am a jibbering idiot. JK. Go to Recovery mode as shown in Fixya. Hammervich Amerikov. See ya and thanks!
