How do I open up the Sharp XR10-X to replace the lamp? The cover is really tight and I don't want to break it. What's the trick to it?
Yes the LAMP is very tight sometimes. What I do is use something to pry on one side, while pushing against it from the other. Just be careful. It does take a little work.

Replacement of the
lamp should be carried out by a qualified appliance repair service.

Attempt
this only if you are competent.
But here is a basic method if you are
mechanically minded and have electrical safety knowledge.
The lamp is sat in a housing and its
position is adjacent to the vent holes that it shines through.
If
you feel confident, disconnect it from the mains power, remove
anything in the cavity.
Remove the microwave cover. Purchasing a
new replacement lamp will be useful as it will give you an idea of
what it looks like. Locate the dead lamp remove the lamp and fit the
new one. Replace the covers. Plug it back in and try the lamp by
opening the door.
Hope this helps.

I've already unscrew them but the lamp is still tight. Do I have to pull it harder?
