"Loading" screen The screen says "loading" when I put the DVD in. I've tried wiping the disk off, opening the drawer and blowing air into it in case of dust, and turning it off and back on again. I hear it scanning the disk when it's in there, but it just says "loading" and won't start the movie! What do I do?

SOURCE: TROUBLE WITH KLH DVD-8350 PLAYER

I took the cover off. Moved the lense to the outer edge with my finger. Then rubbed the lense with a q-tip soaked in eye drop fluid (rubbing alcohol would work better). Then wiped it with the dry end. Works greats now!

The DVD player on my Dell Inspiron-530S won't work, you can hear it like it's trying to load but the play screen never comes up.

no, your dvd drive has gone bad. to check if it is working or not your try to manually open the content of the cd and try copy on the hard drive. if it copies fine then the cd is good if not cd is bad. you might get a error message of bad sector or data randomization.
if it does not open at all the cd drive is bad. [email protected]

Samsung blu ray player, dvd drawer will not open

Either the loading belt or loading gear wheels have the trouble. Sometimes the disc loading mechanism might need replacement. It won't cost mor for the mechanism. But will feel some difficulty in getting it from open electronic spare part market. it will be best to contact the authorised service center for Samsung to get it repaired.

The dvd player side doesn't want to read all discs. Some it just flashes the loading and makes a clicking sounds, sometimes it loads up and freezes on dvds, it does this when i try to put in a cleaning...

The clicking is made by the laser head as it moves across the surface of the disk repeteadly trying to pick up the data signal and failing.
If it has used to work then it's clearly a dirt problem. If a cleaning disk has failed to work then the dust has gone all the way to the reading sensor. To clean it you will need top completely dismantle the unit access the optical mechanism, take off the cover and access the reading head - there blow with the can between the lens and the sensor then with a q-tip wipe the surface of the lens.

Slow to read then says incorrect disk

These get full of dust and then the laser light inside or the light detector does not work well. Try blowing into it just to move the dust around a bit - maybe it will start working.

If you have a can of compressed air (e.g. airDuster), blow that in. Make sure you do not tip the can upsidedown (or even sideways) or you will blow out the liquid in the bottom of the can.

Unplug your equipment before you start - some brands are flamable. The others are greenhouse gases and not too good either.

In any case, if you blow liquid into the unit, the liquid will get very cold when it evaporates and leave a wet residue from the frozen humidity in the air. Just leave the unit alone for a few hours and let the cold liquid evaporate, the moisture dry and warm back to room temperature. Then try it again.

You can also try vacuum or simply shaking it gently while holding it disc loading side down (with drawer open).

Good luck getting rid of the dust.

RDR-VX530 will not play DVDs rented from Video store. Set of 3 DVDs, played first DVD will not play DVD 2 or 3. Displays loading message for couple of minutes then ejects DVD. Intermittent problem with any...

When a DVD player starts doing that, it either needs to be cleaned, or something is going wrong with the DVD mechanism inside of it. You can purchase DVD lens cleaner from any large retail store that has an electronics section. However, if you clean it and the problem persists, it will likely be cheaper to replace the unit rather than trying to have it repaired unless you're under warranty in which case any repair or exchange will be covered by said warranty. If you call the manufacturer they will give you your full range of options.

Screen comes on, disk turns, loading starts, and doesnt stop

With the power turned off, open the DVD Player, and then open the top where you load the DVD into the player. Locate the laser lens and notice that the laser is attached to a transport assembly that moves the laser diagonally outward in a slot. 1. Slide this assembly outward to the end of its track. 2. Slide the assembly back inward to the closest inward position. 3. Repeat the process of sliding the assembly outward and then back inward.4. Put in a music CD and let it play all the way through. This helps to calibrate the laser head assembly movement. When the music CD is finished playing. 5. Put in a DVD, and you should have a working unit again This is a factory solution from Mintek that was given to a customer who ask for help with the forever loading disc problems. This solution may work on other models of portable DVD players. Most portable DVD players use this type of transport mechanism. Try this solution it might work for you.
