There seem to be two speakers. One on the front and one on the back. On my phone the front speaker is not working. So I cant hear callers unless i enable the speakerphone (back speaker). Does anyone know if this is a software problem that can be fixed or is my phone speaker physically broken? please email me if you have a solution to [email protected]

U must have the right tool 2 open ur o2. Then u can start opening ur o2. Once uve opened up ur o2 u can see the speaker at the top. U can see 2 pin at the speaker, u gently pull the pin upwards but dont pull to hard u might break the pin. When both of the pin is pull up u can close back ur o2 . Then u can test whether theres sound coming out of the speaker. If there is sounds that mean uve succeeded repairing ur o2. Bravo........
I had the same problem b4 it turns out my speaker pin is broken. U have to buy a new speaker coz u can't solder back the pin once it's broken. Just buy the speaker and change it yourself, it's really really easy trust me. I've done it b4, I can show u how to do it.
your unit experienced shock. due to fragility of the phone, your LCD might be broken, if not, the LCD connector needs to be refitted to its slot. If the problem is still the same, you need to replace ur LCD.
Hi there. I have the same problem with my O2 XDA IIi. But I found that inserting the power adaptor in and out brings back the volume and all is fine for a few hours. The problem could be a power socket or the audio jack. Either one could be broken and may need replacement. Good luck.
