My Xbox 360 games will not load. I have tried Q-tip cleaning the disk slot and things like that, but it does not help. Games ushally load 9/10 of the times. I really do not want to send it to Xbox service and **** because I know that takes way too long. I want to know how to open it up and stuff like that, and when I do open it up, I want to know what do with what thing and etc.

If your 360 will not play any disc then you have a fatal hardware problem with your disc drive.(dvd, mp3, games, nothing) Xbox is now repairing this problem for free, give them a call.

This happens a lot. My drive does this from time to time. It's the motor sticking and not allowing the disk to spin up. I fixed this by taking the drive apart and spinning the table that the disk sits on to "un-stick" it. Works every time. Eventually it will break down for good, but this is an easy fix without dealing with the sorry customer service.

Yeah i had the same problem with my new 360 (only 3 weeks old) and i called up the customer service and after one hour of going around in circles they finally told me to send it in to them to fix the problem. After 1 week I had received the 360 again to find that nothing had changed, the problem still existed and it seemed like they had done nothing to it. I called customer service again to find out why it still hadnt been fixed and after 30mins of them askin the same questions i demanded to talk to their supervisor. After telling him and constantly spelling to him the name of all my games he said that i should send it off to get the problem fixed, i told them that this had already been done then he said it had to have been ALL 8 of my disks, all within 4 weeks old and he said that there wasnt anything they could do with it. Even though i explaned to him that it was still under warrenty and i no longer wanted to deal with this issue again i demanded to either get my full money back or get a new console, i did not wish to send my 360 back and forth every 3 weeks and he simple said that he could do either of these things for me. He spent another hour having me repeat the probelm and constantly takin the hard drive in and out of the 360 to the point where i told him about such bad service. So heres the message TO ALL PEOPLE WHO WISH TO BUY A XBOX 360, DO NOT! THEY HAVE SO MANY TECHNICAL PROBLEMS ITS UNBELIVBLE, AND THE SERVICE IS HORRIBLE, THEY DONT BELIEVE ABOUT WARRENTY AND MONEY BACK THEY'RE JUST CHEAP SKATES. I never had any of these problems with my orginal xbox and i cant believe how bad this one is.

Disk unreadable but clean disk not scratached

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iOmNtrStDgM
Turned on your Xbox 360 console one day and and when you try to play your game you got the message "This disc is unreadable" OR "Unplayable disc".....??
First determine whether it's a fault with the disc or not, by having a look on the disc itself & make sure it's not scratched and there are no flaws even on it, and try other game discs on your Xbox 360 console .
If your disc is scratched or have flaws try putting other discs in your Xbox 360 console just to make sure it's the disc not the actual console causing the error, If other disc are working fine, refer to the scratched discs page on our website to know what are the steps you have to follow to get it sorted out.
If the disc is not scratched and doesn't have any flaws on it, cleaning the disc and trying it once more may solve the issue, if that doesn't work try to check it by putting other discs in your Xbox 360 console, if they all work that would be definitely a fault with the disc itself and in a case like this you have the right to exchange it from the retailer you bought it from as it's not scratched.
In all cases if other game discs are giving you the same error message "This disc is unreadable" OR "Unplayable disc" you need then to contact Xbox 360 customer support to send your console to get repaired or exchanged.

It only plays Normal Xbox games

The open tray and unplayable disc is because the lens isn't strong on the drive and needs to have a Pot calibration done to it to make the lens signal stronger. That should fix the open tray/unplayable disc issue. I have done this to quite a few drives and all have been working fine since.

Unplayable disc

There is a good chance you DVD drive might have either a faulty motor or laser. In this case if you have any type of warranty you should use it but if you don't you'll have to purchase either a new XBox 360 or a new DVD drive.

The new DVD drive will not be able play games if you simply swap the drives. In order to have it play games you'll have to flash the old Key from the broken drive onto the replacement drive.

Either that or if your system is still under the 3 year warranty from RROD by Microsoft you can try to induce RROD on your XBox 360 and take up a claim with them. Most of the time they send u a refurbrished XBox 360 or a new one.

Blue Dragon disc 3 unplayable

i havent had this problem myself iv asked around and no1 else i know with game has it either. i think you have a dodgy batch game either go back to the shop and ask for another game or phone the helpline on the game and ask for a new disc. it could also be a corrupt save file if it dosent load but if your saying its in a cut scene cancel the cutscene ie dont watch it

I started to have the same problem with my box as well... If you know how to take your xbox drive out of the 360 then do so and open it up... if its the problem you'll immediatly notice that the black ring that spins the disk itself is stuck to the top of the casing... its magnetic so just pull it off and superglue up it back to its base and it should fix your problem
