Could you please explain the problem in depth for me? Not sure what you mean by the control panel not working. Is it getting power? Do you have lights on inside the dryer (if it is equipped with it)?

The element is controlled by thermostats mounted inside the back of the dryer on the air exit box. There is also a contact on the motor that makes when the motor is running. Any of these could cause the problem. Try a different heat cycle, this may help narrow it down.

SOURCE: Control Panel in my whirlpool duet dryer model

First check for 220 volts incoming power to the dryer at the terminal block on the rear of the dryer.
If you have 220 volts, check continuity on part number 59(thermal fuse) in the attached diagram. No continuity is a bad part.

cut and paste this link to your dryer diagram.

Why won't my Whirlpool Senseon Dryer start? The control panel will not respond. No buttoms will light up or beep. The dryer has power and the door latch works properly and the light comes on inside

Always disconnect power before attempting any service. Most electric dryers require 240 volts to operate properly.
You may have only 120 volts to supply the dryer which will give you your symptoms. Click dryer circuit breaker off then back on to reset 240 volt system.Still no heat/run

Whirlpool senseon dryer wont start, panel lights are on

Sounds like it had a short in the panel by the light flashing in the control boards some of the voltages are low & maybe wouldn't kick the breaker .If that's the case it may have damaged a part that wont let it start. Just guessing those boards are expensive that's why I don't like them .

Whirlpool Dryer Model 6646AQ1 need schematics to diagnose why the dryer won't turn on. Electrical connections all checked and working. ???

Did you look inside the dryer? Full schematics & troubleshooting procedures are usually in either the back control panel or around the drum.

Senseon dryer stops running after only 5 min won't restart you can select the cycle but when you hit the start button it just beeps at me

Hello & Welcome to FixYa
If you have already cleaned the vent then the problem is with the Thermal fuse. When the thermal fuse goes bad it cannot be reset and replacing it is recommended repair. It is located on the blower wheel housing inside the rear panel to the exhaust duct. You can test it for continuity before replacing. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

Our Whirlpool Senseon Dryer stopped heating. It's

I had the same problem. I replaced the thermistor, heating element and another part and still didn't correct problem. i finally had a friend come check it and believe it or not it was the 30 amp fuse in my fuse panel of the house.Come to find out the dryer will run and everything works like it should on 1/2 of the 220 plug but the other half runs the heating element. Both fuses must be good. I replaced the 30 amp round fuse and it works and heats perfect. I hope this helps you and saves you some time and money.
