Toshiba 57H82 problems

Val,
It's sent via Pando and you should get a link to it in your mail. To open it you'll need Pando, it's a free download if you don't already have it... The hyper module on that has about 10 caps that are common in that failure. If you need anything off board don't hesitate to ask.

What is the PiP module and where is it located?

The PIP module is a board that allows you to view two different pictures on your set . Also if your having a convergence problem you might want to suspect an opened fuse that supplys the voltage or possible opened resistors could be causing the problem that your still having . A volt-ohm meter would be helpful in finding your cause . Also be cafeful when checking any electrical device when power is active . Your problem is not your PIP module if your colors are not aligned . Good luck

Hi i have a 93 Mitsubishi model# ck35402. I was told that the pip had went out. was hoping someone could walk me through on how to remove and reroute

From the bottom of the main board locate IC 2004 between the PIP module and the tuner. Remove the jumper between pins 2 & 6, then jump pins 6 & 7. Next , pull the pip module from its socket and toss it. The symptom for a bad PIP module could be black screen, no picture, blue streaks, wavy or jittering picture. The audio will not be affected. Make sure the symptom fits the cure before you bypass the PIP. Good luck!
