Most of these Panasonic sets have a error code---unplug the set for a minute----plug it back in and turn it on---does the red power light blink in a sequence---3 blinks, a pause and three blinks?
If it is 3,3 that is short protection and usually means one of the two convergence chips is bad.
Let me know what you find and I will be happy to help.

SOURCE: I have a Green Dot Continuously in my Panasonic
that's most likely a dead pixel on the LCD display in the light engine, but can possibly also be dirt in the light path or on the optics. If the spot is kind of square it's most likely the LCD, and if it's more round or odd shaped, it's most likely dirt.
Good luck.
