Question about Fujitsu Siemens Pocket LOOX T830 Smartphone
I´m using Windows Vista Ultimate with Windows Mobile Device Center. When I connect my T830 via USB it appears to be connected, but when I select the 'Device configuration' option, I get a message like this "Ther is a connection problem. Disconnect and reconect your device and try again" (This is a similar message because I just translated from spanish) I have tried this in several ways, changing USB ports, reinstalling the software, rebooting the device back to factory defaults and everything. I haven't had syncronized once. Any ideas???
In Settings-->Connections-->USB TO PC, uncheck the "Enable advanced network functionality" helped the PDA Phone work with my laptop.

Microsoft has just released a mobile device center upgrade which is more stable and allows more types of files to be sychcronized. Also, if you are using windows live onecare, check that the firewall allows Microsoft Mobile Device Center access through it as the mobile device makes a network connection to your PC

As you know. windows Vista has just came out so many applications will not be compatible with it. According to your message, I can tell that your mobile is not recognized by your PC due to software incompatible. Try to visit www.microsoft.com to download the latest ActiveSync 4.5 for use with Windows Vista and probably this version will help your PC to recognize your Mobile. Also please read Q&A from microsoft web site for synchronization problem. A lot of helping resource for Windows Vista Users there. Windows Vista needs time to recover all compatible issues so you must frequently visit there web site for any update and i am sure the new version of Service Package for Windows Vista will come out soon to help fixing these current issues. This situation just repeated which Windows XP has before when it just came out at the first year. That is the common issue for new OS in the. If you has another PC with Windows XP. try to this connection to confirm that your sync issue is not came from your PC and your Mobile but from your new OS. I hope this help and Good Luck.
