Hi,
I have come across bad inverter boards responsible for this fault several times. Please check all the connectors of the inverter board before replacing it.
The TV is a plasma screen. There are several circuit boards that will go bad over time that affects the picture quality. TV Parts Universal TV Stands DLP Chips ShopJimmy You can get the parts here and replace those boards yourself.
I bypassed the safety switch (it was bad) and vacuumed and blew out all of the dust. So far with this set, 3 years old, I have replaced the bulb twice,it exploded both times, and the color wheel which also exploded! We love the picture but the next time it goes out, it goes out to the trash and I will purchase a top of the line LED/LCD set. No moving parts!!! Samsung designed and manufactured a whole bunch of lemon sets and will not admit it. I have found several hundred complaints about their DLP sets and only a few on other brands.

A temporary solution is to unplug the TV for a few minutes, remove static from the glass with your hand. It is important to unplug rather than turn off. If you have a degauss button you can also press that before unplugging. Wait several minutes or an hour. Then plug it back in. If you have Picture in Picture it may be an issue with that and to permanently solve may need a repair person. The unplugging may get you by for a few days at a time. That's at least better than an hour.
First,
Try and install the HP software again. Uninstall the software first and reboot the pc. Then reinstall software. The memory chip maybe have currupt pictures, so format the chip using the camera. You manual should tell you how to do this.
Second,
Turn the camera on and let the battery run all the way down. This may take some time, maybe a day. Then charge it back up for a day. I hope this helps you out. Let me know.
