Question about Epson Stylus CX5400 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Inky, after spending my £12.50 on this 'Ink Loss Kit', is smitty guaranteed a fix? I have a similar problem developed just over the lst couple of days with a cartridge with 50% ink remaining - just with Black not printing, but I'm afraid I'm not about to shell out £12.50, without knowing that there's a fix in the kit. It's a catch 22 really isn't it? Can you help further?

Hey Smitty I would suggest that this the common problem that occurs on many CX machines. There a re a couple of possibilites that could account for the loss of ink you have experienced. There is a document available that details the problems and offers an Epson approved solution and modification to help prevent re-occurance. You can download it at: http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/1594393

I have seen the document and I recon what it offers is very good. In fact I use a variation of the information myself to fix similar errors when working in the field. Guaranteed? Nothing ever is but I recon for the price of a take away it?s a damn good bet.
If you have lost just a single colour, you should check my previous posts about manual under head cleaning. Chances are that will get you away and that post ? well it costs nothing to view!http://www.fixya.com/support/t137335-pro...
Hope this all helps
