My palm treo pro keeps freezing lately, when i would start writing a text and press the space bar in the 3rd time i would punch it, it will completely go to the menu screen and i canoot hear music or go to...

Most likely, a program that you have installed is causing your Palm to freeze up. If you remember installing a program when the freezing started, delete the program and check if it keeps freezing.

Key pad

On a note to the bottom half of the screen not working, just bring it in to an Apple store and they will give you a brand new one. Thats what happened to me the other day, no questions no problems. You don't need to download anything, just bring it in and they swap your sim card into a brand new one. But if you messed with it and they dont accept it then too bad for you.
thanks

Palm Treo Rebooting After send an Text/SMS

Hello, hope it helps (from http://www.chaddickerson.com/blog/2006/05/19/what-to-do-when-sending-an-sms-makes-your-treo-650-reboot/)

The application that causes the reboot varies, but it’s always the same error related to the message store. Here’s how you fix it (and beware — this deletes all the text messages on your device!):
  1. If you don’t already have it, you need to download and install FileZ on your Treo. All this does is give you access to all the files on the Palm OS filesystem. This is a tool that must be used very carefully, since you can move, copy, and delete any files on the Treo, even ones you didn’t know were there. It’s one of the most useful Treo utilities you can have.
  2. Run FileZ on your phone and choose “View and Edit Files.” In the next screen, you should see “Internal” under Filename. It might also say “ROM.” If you have an SD Card, you should also see “External” or “SD Card.”
  3. Click on the little wedge beside “Internal” to expand the list of files on your Treo.
  4. Find Messages Database and delete it (you do this by checking it, choosing “Details,” and then clicking “Delete”)

Launcher x

if you mean "quick install" -it is full of bugs. A new beta-replacement for this useless install program is now posted on the palm site. That will install and launch applications correctly. It has taken them over a year to figure this out - that the launcher does not work, if programs are installed with quick-install. good luck

Deletinjg contacts.

I suggest you hard reset the Treo 600 to remove all former data and the username associated with the phone. Press the power button next tot he antenna and perform a soft reset at the same time. Dont let go of the power button until the Palm Logo appears. Then you will see a message asking if you want to delete all data. Removing portions of the old data is not an easy task.

HotSync Problem on Treo 90 When I press the HotSync on the Trio 90 cable (I do not use a cradle) in place of the moving red and blue arrows moving, the Microsoft Unplug or Eject Hardware icon appears in the lower right portion of the task bar. I assume this means that contact has been made between the Treo 90 and the PC. This icon remains until I receive the following message on the Treo 90: ā€œHotSync Problemā€ ā€œThe connection between your handheld computer and the desktop could not be established. Please check your setup and try again. This problem began after I updated to WinDesktop_401_ENG_V, Treo90Updater11, and PMStdUpdate3171. I downloaded USBRegClean.exe and used it. Then I reinstalled WinDesktop_401_ENG_V and the problem continued. I emailed my log to Chapura Support. Unfortunately, this was done after I had uninstalled and reinstalled everything and the log did not show here a Synchronization had been established because after the reinstall, I have been unable to Synchronize. I checked the PalmOne knowledge base and did the following: I checked to make sure the cable from the HotSync was is securely attached to the USB port in the back of the PC and that the cable was securely in the Treo 90. I click on the HotSync manager, (Double arrow icon on the bottom right corner of computer screen), click on setup and then local tab and first set it to PC overwrites Handheld, this did not work, I then reset it to Synchronize, this did not work, I then reset it to Handheld overwrites P.C. This did not work. I also changed the speed settings to 9600. This did not work. I did a soft reset of the Treo 90. The reset took place, but the problem persisted. I did a hard reset, then uninstalled and reinstalled everything. However, when I try a HotSync, I keep getting the Microsoft unplug or eject hardware icon. I uninstalled all UBS ports. The problem continued. Chapura Support suggested using PalmOne’s HotSyncCheck which I interpreted to be the ā€œUSBRegClean.exeā€ and used it again and then reinstalled WinDesktop_401_ENG_V successfully. However, when I reinstalled Treo90Updater11, and PMStdUpdate3171, when I attempted a HotSync it failed and I continued to get the Microsoft Unplug or Eject Hardware icon. Is there a fix? Is it possible that the problem is physically located in the Treo 90? If so, where can I take it to be checked and serviced if necessary? Thank you for your attention to this problem
