Sprint Red v3m Outside lcd problem

I just seen that when my phone is closed the top of the picture is cut off and the open image fills in the space. When it is closed the top should show my tower and other icons. Does anyone know how to fix this. Or where I can get a sprint fw to try to reflash it? I actually know this problem!! The problem is actually with the magnet that lies above the top right of your LCD. The way I fixed it was I got another magnet and put it underneith the battery about where the other magnet is and then put another magnet on top of the original one inside the faceplate. This worked great and was very un noticable. if you need more information or you are confused I can make a guide on how I did this.

Its a software issue. I had the SAME problem. Bothered me for weeks. I just reflashed my Sprint phone to Alltel firmware. Fixed it right up.

This could be a caching issue. I wonder if the battery inside the lid of the RAZR has something to do with this, or if it's software. I'm stumped.

Check the menu settings for the picture. You may be expanding the image to fill the sides, in the process, cutting the top and bottom.

Unlock a Motorola v3m from t-mobile

RAZR v3m is not compatible with T-Mobile, as it is a CDMA phone, used on services such as Verizon, Sprint, Cricket, etc. The v3m is not a GSM phone and does not have a SIM card, and therefore cannot be used on GSM services such as T-Mobile and AT&T (Cingular).

T-Mobile does have a RAZR v3, but it is not a v3m. The v3m is similar to the v3s, which is also a CDMA phone, but adds a micro SD card to store music and photos on.

Motorola Razer V3M Won't start

It may be a software problem. Similar thing happened to my LG Chocolate from Verizon. I found out that certain Verizon stores can perform an update on certain phones. Maybe Sprint has a similar software update. You can call your service provider and ask.

RAZR V3M thinks it's always open - Screen will not turn off

in the top right corner you are suppose to have a little circular magnet that changes the screen when the phone is open or closed. I just changed my housing yesterday and took the magnet out and put it in my new housing but for some reason i have the same problem as you. so maybe you lost the magnet when you replaced the lcd and if that is the case then you are screwed. try have Motorola fix it, don't tell them you replaced the lcd

Motorola razr v3m keypad problems

Hi Ms. Jackson,

I have seen this happen when the phone is almost full capacity on files. Try clearing up some files by either deleting them or backing them up to PC.

You may also need to hit it with some canned air and isopropyl alcohol to clean the keys up.

SD Card causing problems?

The V3m has an inherent flaw with the Sd Micro Memory Card. Installing the card, which fits extremely tight can damage the electrical contacts in the micro chip socket. This can result in low battery life due to a short to metal chassis of phone and not being able to communicate properly with memory chip. I had my first Razr V3m replaced by Sprint after only 2 days of ownership. When I got my new phone I carefully filed the tab on the Sd Micro Chip so insertion and extraction is much easier.

Problem when I open the phone, please help!

Okay I work for Sprint as a advanced technical support. Your screen is busted I can tell that when you said it was orange. The LCD is non existent and the colors have mixed. I hope for your sake that you have insurance because it is time to get a new phone. and yes when it is closed the sub screen works fine because it is two separate screens and your main screen is the one busted. It is hard to say if you will be able to get your contacts back because in most cases I have seen that information is lost. So it is time to take it to a Sprint Nextel and Repair center. Hope that helps :)
