Internal water dispenser stopped working

I have a Kenmore elite model# 596.76593601 TRIO french door refrigerator with internal water dispenser (aka Amana AFD2535FES). The internal water dispenser has stopped working. Initially, it started freezing up and if I raised the refrigerator temp by a couple of degrees it would thaw and dispense water again. Now, it just won't dispense water. The ice maker is working fine, so it would seem that it isn't a problem with the water filter.

Same exact problem on my Kenmore 596.76603600 also made by Amana. Wonder if there's a fix out there for what seems to be a common problem???

I lowered the temp on the freezer to 4 overnight, by morning water dispenser is working fine. I think that when we changed the temp to 7 (in order to make more ice ) it froze the water pipe going to the dispenser. I am going to keep both fridge and freezer at 5 ,and hope this will not happen again.

I installed the water line to our fridge it is a kenm. with out water dispenser all the book says is prime it. how do you do this with no water dispenser?

if line is for the ice maker, with water on loosen fitting on end of line where it is connected to fridge(hold towel under fitting) and re tighten after you see water seeping out.

My Kenmore Elite Trio Fridge is leaking water from under the front of the machine. It is not the water connection. Do you know what the problem might be?

Your defrost drain tube is probably clogged with ice or something. Defrost your refrigerator (put towels around to soak up any excess water), then after it's defrosted, take off the back, lower panel and look for a 1 inch diameter tube coming down from your refrigerator. Remove it and clear out any blockages and then re-assemble everything.

How do I take KENMORE ELITE TRIO 596.75533400 out of demo mode?

Try pressing ultra ice and home while the refrigerator door is opened,or ultra ice and the refrigerator pad with the freezer opened. Hold for five seconds. Hope that works.

Water dispenser not working on kenmore trio refrigerator

The tubing inside the door is most likely frozen. Mine did that a year ago. I had to remove gasket and loosen screws around edge and allow to defrost inside door. There was a lot of ice around dispenser and tubing.

Check for cracks in the water supply tube from the house plumbing valve to the ice maker. Could also be the valve itself.

Turn off valve for a day to diagnose which.

No water or ice or lights on outside of door

I received my Elite TRIO 795.7101 2 weeks ago. I have ran over 3 gallons of water though it. I am still getting a bad odor and taste when I dispenser water from the door.
