FROZEN SONY PSP

Try taking out the battery and putting it back in. You may also take out the battery all together and just run it off the AC power adapter, if both these methods fail, then it is something wrong with the PSP. Bring it to an authorized Sony shop for repairs. It should still be under warranty because it is only 2 1/2 months - dont forget to bring your receipt.

Try holding the power button all the way up for 10 seconds. then power it back on.

Turn On your psp ress the directional button. If there is sound from the menu. I think you lcd backlight dead or the hardware conecction not work properly that make the lcd backlight died

when you say scanner do you mean laser that reads the umd?

you could replace the laser from one off ebay
but the thing with replacing lasers is that adjusting the laser so it reads the disk it tricky

also you say it is 1 year old from brand new? bought from the shops
call sony as it may just be under warenty

maby the hold is on try to hit the power button again up a little if it is stuck if it is stuck it is on hold

I think the moral of the story is dont take apart machines unless you have the money to replace them. Di your son step on it while it was taken apart?

i know this one u can repair it ur self first go to the bathroom stick ur psp to ur **** until it smells and repeat it until ur psp thinks to suicide because it smells awful

Never turn off the PSP while updating!

Now, its bricked!

Try this, what you do is take out the Battery, plug in the charger, put the Battery back in... turn PSP on. See if it'll work.

green light comes on but the screen wont, i was on updating the psp and accidently turned it off and now it wont come on.

It seems that inside your PSP the LCD Screen Connection cable (The broad One) which is connected to the motherboard is being loose contact so if you can open the PSP try it by re-fixing the cable again otherwise you better go for a technician who will do the same job for you.
