CPU compatibility Hello. I have the
SY-P4I845PE lite motherboard and I was wondering if the newly introduced socket 478 dual core is compatible with this particular motherboard. All I can find is the old list of supported CPUs, i.e. the celeron and P4. Thanks in advance.
This motherboard is not compatible with a Dual core processor since this is a old Motherboard a;ready and only supports Intel Celeron, Intel Pentium 4..

Sorry but that motherboard does not support dual core processors. The socket type is 478 which is Pentimum 4 and will support anything up to a 3.2 GHz processor.
hello sir, hi im afraid that the dragon plus has no AMD x2 (DUAL CORE) compatible CPU. if you want a dual core motherboard compatible, get the socket AM2 version for AMD or the LGA 775 for intel processor.
The Socket P has 478 pins, but is not pin-compatible with Socket M or Socket 478. Socket P is also known as a 478-pin Micro FCPGA or μFCPGA-478. Google it for stores that carry dual core Socket P chips.
no. the good thing about windows(and the only thing) is that it compatible with virtually any motherboard. The only thing you need is to make sure you have enough memory and hard drive space for this operating system.
