What is gasket size for back cover for Seiko Kinetic 5M43

Wow, Seiko is a all-time favorite! Why not take it to a Seiko Repair Center and pay a few bucks to have one professionally installed?

Real shame if YOU installed a knock-off and it leaked on you!

My kenetic battery ( i think) operated watch ,N0, on the back plate-

First, does it say "Kinetic" on the face of the watch? If not, it is not a Seiko Kinetic. (You did not mention if it was a Kinetic or not.)

Second, the Serial number is not like any Seiko Kinetic I know, which is 2 4 digit numbers.

Third: The number you gave itself may indicate the type of button battery you need.

Good luck.

How to remove the crown in 5M43 calibre kinetic watch by seiko

take the back off the watch...carefully look inside the watch for a small arrow, it will be pointing to a tiny dot pull out your crown as far as you can. use a small pin/tweezer, what ever will fit in that small hole push in the hole and at the same time, pull your crown out. it should pop right out!

hope this helped!

I do not know how to wind up my watch, while a swing to a later no.Please answer me.Model hours a Seiko Kinetic 5M62-0B40.Thank you

This watch operates on a capacitor which is charged by movement. It does not wind, but it has a weight that charges the capacitor by motion.

Take the watch in hand by placing your fingers under the caseback and your thumb on the crystal. Use a horizontal motion (landscape) to move the watch back and forth quickly approximately one foot left and right. You should feel the internal weight move.

Do this for at least five minutes. If the watch does not start to operate (the second hand does not move at one second increments) then either the capacitor must be replaced, or the movement is defective.

You may send the watch directly to Seiko for service, or I would strongly suggest visiting your local Certified Master Horologist for what is usually a free assessment and estimate of the repair.

If you are following the above directions, you have done nothing wrong, but the movement or capacitor needs to be replaced.

If you have just purchased this watch and the instructions do not resolve your situation, I would promptly return it and exchange it, as the model may have been sitting for a while, and have a bad capacitor.

Seiko 5m43 fails run after cell replacement

Hi, Look on page 11 of your manual for the proper procedure to restart watch after a battery change, or complete discharge of capacitor system. If you don't have the manual, Try this link:
http://www.seikowatches.com/support/ib/index.html

Take the four-digit module number from the back of the watch, enter it, and download a PDF of your watch setting-instructions/manual.
I hope this helps you. Thanks, Bill

Seiko Kinetic that doesn't work

This watch does not have a battery, but has a capacitor which is rechargable. It is not taking a charge, and needs to be replaced. You should take it to a store with a watchmaker ON THE PREMISES. Or you could send it to: www.bscwatchrepair.com
