Printer cartridge This is my 4th. request. I have been using a "HP" color cartridge in my printer (5740) for over 6 mo. Now it tells me I have the wrong cartridge installed. The cartridge is half full of ink. However the Black ink HP cartridge still works & will print as long as I take out the color cartridge first. Please help??? Thanks.

    I tried that, still won't work. It looks like I need to get a new cartridge but I don't understand why it keeps telling me I have the wrong one installed.

    I did clean it but no use.

Well, Since the cartrigde has been working it could be just a matter of contact. Try removing the cartridge, and clean the contact surface on the cartridge with a alcoholic based cleaning liquid on a soft cloth. Tis might help solve the problem.
