Oven Door Locked

After a self cleaning, my oven door won't unlock. I have done the standard cicuit breaker test and tried to self clean again, but no luck. Is there any way to unlock the door to use my oven until I can afford to have it repaired? Thanks................

Try resetting theclean cycle. Hold the door handle a little ajar. It won't open of course so reset the clean cycle then press cancel.  This may do the trick

Scholtes FE46 and the door is locked. Also no clock/timer lights. Temp/function and oven work but is locked even though completely cold.

Here are a couple of things to try:
  1. Unplug the unit or shut off the circuit breaker for 5 minutes. Plug the unit back in or turn on the circuit breaker. Set the clock and gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.
  2. Set the self-clean cycle again and only allow it to work for 15 minutes. Cancel the self-clean cycle and allow the oven to cool. Gently try moving the door lock lever (is so equipped) or opening the door.

Oven door locked

Many Kenmore ovens have a control lock that keeps the oven door locked even when the self-clean cycle has not been in use. This feature is meant to prevent children from opening the door or using the controls on the oven. To cancel the oven lockout, push and hold "Stop" for three seconds. Wait 15 seconds for the oven door to unlock automatically.

Reset
After verifying that the oven lockout feature has been released and waiting at least an hour after a self-clean cycle, if the oven door remains locked, try to reset the oven. Disconnect power to the range, and wait 30 seconds. Restore power and try again. If the door remains locked, disconnect the power and try to reset the circuit breaker or fuse. Contact Kenmore if the door remains locked after both attempts at a power reset at 800-827-6655.

Self cleaning oven

Pheo,
Turn Breaker/Fuse for the stove, your electrical panel, “OFF” and then “ON”, wait 20 - 30 seconds and the door should unlock.
It may be that the temp sensor is going out and you'll need to have that looked at soon.
