Have dlink router but belkin wireless adapter cant connect

in my case i dont use belkin wireless usb.ive rather use same brand with my router.i got dlink router too just like yours..and i have edimax wireless 802.11b/g/n nano usb adapter..well up to now no problem getting slow DL and UL. try it..

I got your issue , for your issue , I f you want to go online hard wired to the router , make sure the Local are connection in the comp is enabled as well you have coted that u can see red cross in the wireless network connection icon, so make sure do not have any preferred networks in the comp.

Use an Ethernet cable to connect the network port on a computer (desktop/laptop/notebook) to one of the LAN ports on the router.
Start your computer's web-browser, and connect to the web-server "inside" the router.
Run the "Wireless Network Setup Wizard" to configure your wireless network, i.e., pick an SSID and a password.
Then, configure your telephone to connect to that SSID, and to use the password that you selected.

The speed in your internet connection is not a router issue. It is an "internet connection issue" with your ISP. Please contact your ISP and subscribe to a higher internet speed from your ISP.

try using wireless N routers .. gofor linksys Wireless ' N '..this gives u the best possible range other than wireless b/g..hope this helps...

Set the SSID on at the router side. Alternately you can enter the SSID information manually at the computer side.

You will probably need to set it up differently, I do not know the belking router, but normally the VOIP functions only work on the wan port of these routers so you should make the connections as follows:

INET ---> (wan) DLINK (lan) -----> (wan) BELKIN (voip) --> Phone
|--------> Wired Computers
|--- ) ) ) Wi Fi computers

On the DLINK enable DHCP and set a fixed IP for the Belkin router, either by setting the belkin in an IP outside the DHCP pool or setting it from the DHCP server.

This configuration workd well with a DLINK and a Motorola (vonage) router I have.

is the adapter connected to the router? are you using wep? is the firewall disabled?
