My Maytag gas dryer won't dry, but here's the wierd part. Sometimes I will stop the "drying cycle" to grab something out of it and the clothes will be hot. Then a few minutes later it will be cold air again. I have no idea how many times it goes hot, I think mostly not at all. I have checked the heating element. It's good-and was replaced many months ago. I use my dryer even though it won't heat because I have 5 kids and can't afford to have it fixed. I have checked all buttons on the panel and I know I am doing it right-as I have done every day for years. PLEASE! I beg of you help meeee! I am a handywoman but this has got me stumped. Much thanks Howse4u
First thing is to check that the vent tubing both inside the back of the dryer [ the exhaust pipe that is attached inside the dryer ] and the tubing that vents it outside the house are not plugged by lint or ? if it is all clear you have an electrical component problem such as a sensor or valve.Unfortunately you will need someone qualified to diagnose and fix this type of problem.Good wishes for you.Stephen
