Hi,
I've a laptop, model nx6110 and I'm not be able to use it, the problem is:
I think, it has a pretty funny circuit shortcut because when it occurs, it's like a pause over the operations on Windows OS, the system is frozen but when I move the laptop's base, the windows carry on working without reporting problems.
Windows has never restarted or showed me an error after the pause.
Someone know something about it, al least, what can I do?
Thank a lot....
At the beginning I thought like you, that the problem was inflicted by a virus or driver, therefore I reinstalled the OS. When I was reinstalling it and after installing a fresh copy, the laptop continued freezing.
As I mentioned you before when I move the laptop's base, more specific the corners where we used to put the hands, the systems carry on working.
I still thinking it's a circuit shortcut, but where?
Thanks....I appreciate your time.

Re:
I think something else is happening, windows cant work mechanically, if it stops it stops.
What is probably happening is that there are programmes or driver problems running in the background and the system is as you think freezing and starting again.
Run an antispyware scan and also see if the same thing happens when the pc is in safe mode (F8 on boot up and select start windows in safe mode), if not then it is more than likely a driver issue, but it is then down to a process of illimination.

It is damaged. The whole replacement NX6110 (good working laptop) is available on eBay.com for $50 + shipping, so I think it is easier and cheaper to buy a replacement laptop than to fix this laptop.
Depends on the usage you give it. If you don't use very heavy and CPU dependent programs and don't want to spend your money you should downgrade back to XP. But if you feel like you need more power for the software you use and can spare a few bucks you should definitely invest in a new PC. That PC is quite old and will start limiting you a lot if you need it on a regular basis.
