The lines did appear around 4 months ago, when i use to fiddle with the back scart lead they use to go off. Now the lines are on all the time. I would be grateful of any advice.
FixYa expert monitors advised me to not give people this advice, but I am a TV repair specialist with pretty solid experience in LCD and plasma TVs and there is only one good advice I can give for those cases.
So I am a bit in a conflict here as the website managers asked me not to tell people what I know is the best.
So I won't.
I am not telling you to replace the TV and I am NOT telling you to not waste time trying to fix this.
There...I didn't say it!
BTW the hiding and re-appearance of the line(s) had really nothing to do with the cable at the back; it had more to do with you applying physical pressure to the TV frame, something that may yield some result even now, but it can't be used to successfuly restore functionality in long run.

Unplug for 30 seconds from it's power source and then try it again. If that doesn't work, call Samsung for further troubleshooting and have your model number and serial number handy. Please be prepared to tell them how long the line is.

1st thing to do is to check its parts if it has a losen leg, then you have to check the horizontal out(H-Out) it is one of the larger transistor and it commonly place beside the Fly back X former ,the best material to used is multitester, and if it didnt work try to check the filter capacitor( it is the largest capacitor) And also check other capacitor, tnx hope it will helped you!

All I can say is when you watch T.V. the plasmas run off of plasma gas and when you leave something on for so long it burns in the screen. I have the same T.V. and when watching like the weather channel it leaves lines but they go away. If yours are permanent then you can't do anything, but it may help if you go on your remote and go to "menu" then look for "setup" and scroll down with the arrows on your remote. Look for "screen burn protection" and select "white screen". This will make your whole screen white and it may take out the lines. If you let it sit white it won't hurt it. All one color won't hurt, the only thing that hurts is like bright white lines in front of a dark background. Just give your T.V. a break from time to time ESPECIALLY ON VIDEO GAMES. T.V. shows that are HD usually have their channel icons that move or are very dim and they won't hurt. Just go to what I told you and let it sit about 20 minutes, if that doesn't help, then the T.V. you have i believe comes with a 2-year standard warranty and if it's under warranty take it back if you have the reciept. If no reciept then call 1-800-SAMSUNG.

This should be repairable. It may be the LVDS Cable or the Main board problem. The only other problem is the T-Con Board.

Hi my name is Roety,
I can help you with your issue ,
If the lines are present on every input you most likely have a bad screen. We usually replace the mainboard first because its cheaper .

This seems to be a loose connection problem. Open the back and apply pressure on the panel at the ends of the lines, if the line disappears, put some packing to keep the pressure all the time. Only way to solve this problem.
