Plug your iPod to your computer and open iTunes, if iTunes doesn't open automatically.

If there is a new version of the firmware for your iPod, then iTunes gives you a pop-up message saying so.

Click "Update" if there is a newer version of the iPod firmware available to download.

If there is no new firmware, or you want to downgrade the firmware, then skip this step.

Download the iPod firmware you want to reprogram you iPod with from the Internet.

Websites such as Modifymyi, iClarified and Felixbruns (see Resources at bottom).

Right-click on the "Restore" button in iTunes and select the firmware for the iPod that you downloaded.

ITunes then backs up the music in your iPod, reprograms the iPod with the new firmware and then restores your iPod.

How Do I program my iPod Touch

Completely reprogram your iPod touch by performing a "Restore". Do not let the name fool you, Apple's restore feature restores the original factory settings, so the iPod unit is clean, except for the operating system. Access to restore utility in iTunes. If your iPod is frozen or stopped working, first manually reset, and then restore in iTunes. 1. Hold the "Sleep / Wake" button and the "Home" button at the same time as your iPod is frozen or unresponsive. Holding the button until the display converts the iPod Touch in recovery mode. 2. Press the "Home" with one hand while you connect your iPod to your computer with disabilities with the other. ITunes will ask you to restore your iPod in recovery mode. 3. Click "OK" to start the recovery process. When iTunes is finished, your iPod Touch is completely reset, ***** except for the original operating system, and ready to reload with new data. 4. Connect the iPod Touch directly to your computer as usual, a restore point to start, without going into recovery mode. Open iTunes if it does not open automatically. 5. Click the name of your iPod under Devices in the left pane of the iTunes window. "Summary" tab open. 6. Look for the "Restore" button to the center of the window. Click this button. 7. Confirm that you want the iPod Touch to its original factory settings. This is your last chance to change his mind. 8. Wait until iTunes has finished. The iPod is restored to its original factory settings.

Reprogram the ipod nano

Download the iPod updater from the website of apple iPod , you can use this website http://www.apple.com/ipod/download/ Install and run this. It will allow you to "Restore" your iPod, which erases all music data and restores it to its original state.

How can i re program my ipod?

You don't have to reprogram anything with an ipod, the software are giving you problems, you can reset it back to factory settings(default settings) ie. "Restoring iPod to factory settings". All your data will be deleted upon reseting to default settings. Reference link from Apple

My iPod Touch internet connection has failed meaning that I can no longer log on. There is nothing wrong with my internet system as both desk and lap top are accessing OK - can you please help.

go to you internet conection on you ipod and make sure that the name of the wireless conection is the one you using at you laptop... example if you use linksys wireless then it must linksys you will use in your ipod... there are many wifi in your place maybe its been replace... or if the issue still exist, reprogram your ipod touch... thats my only suggestion
