Cameras, especially film cameras, do not use "SIM" cards. There were some models of Minolta film cameras that used exposure cards for auto-settings but only cellular phones and devices with cellular interfaces (iPads) use SIM cards. Here's a copy of the Maxxum 5 manual if that helps.
Sounds like a lens compatibility issue. Ensure that you have a compatible lens mounted first (see user guide) and then ensure it is set to its smalles t aperture (F22 for example), otherwise the shutter will freeze and the Error will be displayed.
