Ps2 (SCHP-39001) Fan works, nothing else please help

We had tried to turn the ps2 on and to our surprise, the lights would not come on. Nothing but the fan -as far as we know,- would come on. Also, the fan sounds louder than usual. We tried plugging it in elsewhere, but to no avail, we couldn't even eject the disc holder. Can you possibly help?

Take it apart and verify that the power/reset buttons' ribbon cable is firmly plugged into the motherboard

What is hack for my ps2 schp-30000

Depends what you want to do. Run Linux? Run Homebrew? Pirate games? For pirated games look up "HDadvanced for ps2", it works well. http://www.hdadvance.com/

Ps2 console will play for 5 minutes, then it shuts off and the power button keeps blinking. how can this be fixed?

it's over heating.
check the fan to make sure it's working and make sure nothing is blocking the vents.
remove any dust/**** in the system.
you might try using a electric fan to cool the system while you play.
hope this helps.
please rate solution ;p

You need to replace the DVD drive assembly / Motor spindle as that keeps the alignment of the disc (ebay) however you need to get the right one for your model SCHP ****

MY PLAYSTATION 2 DOES NOT WORK

DONT FORGET TO RATE SOLUTION

1. CLEAN THE LASER. ALWAYS DO THIS FIRST. MOST TIMES THIS IS ALL YOU NEED TO GET YOUR SYSTEM BACK RUNNING A 100% AGAIN

2. IF THE LASER CLEANING DON'T WORK ON YOUR PS2 SYSTEM PERFORMANCE THEN TRY ADJUSTING THE LASER VOTAGE.

3. IF THE LASER VOTAGE DON'T WORK YOU NEED TO REPLACE THE LASER

PS2 bad power supply

Greetings Xwrongwayx,

My suggestion is if it will plug into the newer unit, then it is fine to utilize the older power supply. I have two different PS2 units, and we use the cords for either to plug the units in.

I hope this helps!
