Razr V3: When phone closes, it doesn't know its closed?

Okay so this is the full story. I live in an apartment complex and i put my phone in this walmart bag. Then, I put the Wal-Mart bag into a cooler with melted ice and ice so i could just carry the whole thing. I forgot my phone was in there after like a minute and the phone didn't seem all too wet at all(go cases). After an hour or so, i had regained all button control except for the power button and now, a few hours later, All buttons work.. THe PROBLEM is now when i close my phone, it doesn't have the normal screen in the mini screen(displaying time, blah blah). HELP!

Well, another thing i just looked at were the screws. They aren't phillips or anything. So the thing now is i don't have the small tool to unscrew the phone. So, whether or not that will fix it(probably will), until i can unscrew it, i am unable to ATTEMPT to clean internally.

So, where can i get that small of a tool?

The lever that closes ur phone lid is probably colliding with the internals of the turn off key. show it to a service centre......When it comes to phones, especially complex and expensive ones like urs, rule 1 is DON"T TAKE RISKS

Nothing displayed on screen

Try taking your battery out over night and let it sit..then in the morning put it back in and see if that cures the issue.

V3 never registers when I close it, battery is being wasted!

You forgot to replace a small magnet that goes in the upper right corner of the cover (when closed) next to the screen. Try to put a magnet in the circular hole.

Try removing the battery for a few seconds then restart the phone. Other than that, it could be a defective switch on the phone that detects when it's closed. If it answers / hangsup when the opened or closed... the switch is good.

Screen not working

On a RAZR, there is a problem in the joint or hinge where the phone opens, and the flex cable that connects the two often comes loose. This can usually be fixed short term by pushing the halves of the phone together firmly, and then opening and closing the phone. Do this while the battery is out.

For a long term fix (or if that doesn't work), you have to take the phone apart. It would be best to take it to a repair shop for this.
