Once you enter the 4 digit code, press and hold the "display" button on the radio. The "display" button is located in the upper right hand corner of the KDC-7009 stereo. After holding the "display" button, you should see the words "APPROVED" displayed across the screen. Happy listening!

Code for my kdc-8009

here you can have it for $25.00...

http://www.radio-code.com/Kenwood_PayPage_radiocode.htm

That code is $ for all shops, none of them will give it up. Kenwood does not want the code public, or it would defeat the point of having one. If you are friends with a Kenwood tech, you may be able to get it.

Kenwood Kdc-MP7028 code

Hi Nancy

Sure I remember you... hard to forget a kiss(specially in here :) It is the "next track" button referred to, and you need to hold it down for 3 seconds or so on some models to get the process to work. Try that and see how you get on. It should solve the problem for you. I know this process works because I have used it many times before. Let me know how youy get on, and I will get back to you a bit sooner next time. Cheers

Kenwood kdc 7009 - just bought car w/ stereo in it, but no remote or codes ?

Look for a small hole in the face plate. Take the tip of a pen and try holding it in for a few seconds. Re-setting it should work.....

Use the am and fm buttons to increase or decrease the numbers and use the seek up button to move to the next number and then press and hold the seek button to enter the code ( these buttons are on the bottom right hand side of the fascia)
