The flash drive itself may be faulty or damaged, and sometimes this is
not apparent from a physical inspection. Try attaching the drive to a
USB port that you know is operational, and try plugging another USB
device into that port to verify that the port is working.

If the dial doesn't spin, then unfortunately your Fuze is physically damaged, and will need to be repaired.
If the dial stopped working on its on, versus not working due to physical damage inflicted by being dropped, abuse etc., and your player is less than one year old, it is covered under SanDisk's warranty service. Email [email protected] to ask about this. They will probably want you to provide proof of purchase (showing date and place of purchase and name of the reseller).
try taking memory out and putting back in ok,
has unit been dropped or wet?
If you can't get it working, you can send unit to us for a free diagnosis, but more than likely a cost efficient repair, estimate for minor case $69.00 will let you know if anymore
Well the only real thing you can do is to dry it out until no water is left in it and it might work..Usually when these things see water and there on it fries them..but sometimes when they are exposed to water and they are turned of and wait for water to dry they will work again,,Thats not a good sign when you said you heard it sizzle..Thats it shorting out the main board..You might be replacing if when the water dries it doesnt come on thats what happen.Sorry Have A Great Day
