I has tried playing Killzone but it wasn't working so i tried nba live and it still wasn't working and then i opened my ps2 and found out that the ps2 game disk isn't even spinning and i was wondering if there is a way to solve this problem.
You should buy one of those laser disks to clean the laser and inside of the ps2 so it will work again cause mine had same problem and i used that and after it worked

Hi,
I have the same problem and I've tried everything.
I reolaced the laser kit with motor, the laser connector and it still doesn't spin.
I tested the fuses on the motherboard and it seems that the PS13 fuse is shut.
I'll try bybassing it and come back to tell you the results....

I had this problem. I solved it, it works now for most of the disks.
1. Put the disk in the PS2
2. Press hard in the center of the the disk with the index finger
3. Run the index finger around the center of the disk so that it tightly selttles down - do this till you hear a click sound,
Now play it.

Hey i have been doing some research and i think that the problem is that ur guys laser is dead or dying because im haveing the same problem with mine and the disc aent moving and the laser sure aent moving either so i think that u need a new laser or a new consle. Just by all my reserch ive found all of this out so dont think im right i was just suggesting. See ya

I have the same problem. It'll spin up barely for about half a second, then stop. It doesn't give the normal "disc read error" message, it just doesn't do anything at all on the boot menu screen. The next step (if I can't figure out the problem) will be to just buy a new motor. :(

One day I took at disk out of my ps2 and put a brand new one in and I found out it still was not spinning so I put 3 different ones in and they still were not spinning I need an help on how to fix it please!

i put the disc in and it sometimes doesnt spin and sometimes it does but even if it spins the dsc a lot of times it stops spinning the disc in the middle of playing a game and the game freezes. can somebody help plz?
