You had not specified the OS you have. If it is 98 Or later install the latest service packs available. then re-install the cam drivers by which you get the cd.

I am sorry I don't have a solution for you, but noticed that there is an upgrade for the software that is available from rca. I have no idea if it will work with vista. I tried to download it myself for my xp machine, but since I lost the original cd the upgrade will not work. if you cannot use your cd can you send it to me, I lost mine and I cannot get the pictures off my unit from 2 years ago. where do you live? email me at [email protected] if you can send it to me. For Models: CC6384, CC6394, CC9373.
Check to see if DSC is selected. If so, you won't be able to play a tape. Press REFRESH for about one second to select VIDEO. On the CC9373, make sure the DSC/VIDEO switch is set to VIDEO.
For Models: CC6254, CC6364, CC6374, CC6384, CC6394, CC9360, CC9370, CC9373
There may be a simple solution. Do the following:
* Turn your camcorder's power off, then disconnect the power source (battery or AC adapter).
* Remove the clock battery, if equipped with one.
* Wait a few minutes, then reinstall the clock battery. Reconnect or install the power source — battery or AC.
* Then try turning on the power again.
For Models: CC6254, CC6364, CC6374, CC6384, CC6394.
When using Quick Review to check the end of your last recording, some distortion at the beginning of the playback is normal.
When using the Retake mode to record a scene, the video may darken or become monochromic. Noise bars may also appear. This is normal.
