HELP! MY 42" PLASMA TV IS ONLY GETTING BLACK AND WHITE CHANNELS.
Last night when I turned on my tv, I only got black and white on all the channels. My DVD player still works in color, but nothing for cable. I tried unsuccessfully to go through all th menus, but nothing worked. Please help! I know its got to be some sort of setting, I just don't know which one it is. Any advice would be very much appreciated.

If you are connected to a HD cale box using component cables IE (G, R & B) then check if either the Red or the Blue has come loose or unplugged as this will cause most HD sets to revert to a black and white picture.

tcon board fault. If you wish to get some details; visit the site linked here. Pull up older posts. http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/
Line faults & possible causes to LCD & Plasma screen are given with illustrations. You can get an idea about the fault to an extent. Faults to all LCD & Plasma screen are similar, irrespective of its brand and screen size
Check your cables between the receiver and your TV to make sure the colors match. If you are using a component cable (green, blue, red, white, red), not matching colors at both ends will give you what appears to be a black and white picture. I hope this helps.
This is a result of poor conversion of a SD signal on a HD channel. Go into your settings and adjust the h/v settings to move the line off the screen. You can do this with a combination of v-position or vsize.
You may have to refer to the instruction manual for details.
There should be in the menu set-up an option to set the aspect ratio for the different broadcast modes. Normaly, when viewing a 4:3 picture on an HD 16:9 set, the sides will be cut off, otherwise the picture will be stretched or compensated.
did the tv get bumped or ran into it sounds like the plasma tube is broken but i need more information to be sure, you could have a power problem or a remote problem try unplugging it for 5 minutes to reset it, then hold the power button down for 5 seconds and see if it comes on if not give me as much more info as possible.
