Ok this is a common problem, all you need to do is connect the cam to the computer, on the cam press disk drive, then in my computer find drive, usually F:\ right click press format, make sure after you format, dissconnect the cam from the PC. Leave the camera POWERED ON then through the camera options press menu setup and format then execute, then cam shud be fine, btw doing this will erase any pix you have on there at this moment in time

Do you reformat your cards every time you download your pics? The card may be corrupted. You may be able to clear it and reformat it through a card reader on a PC. If this isn't possible scrap the card and buy another one - and ALWAYS reformat it.
Dont worry, if ur camera has a memory card then u can always use a memory card reader to transfer pic to pc. Else if u really need the software for ur camera you will have to just spend few min on google search by typing in ur model name and number. And i am defenitely sure u will get it...!! Please rate me.
Fixing communication problem between camera and the PC is not a easy task and sometime you may have to invest a lot of time and come out no result. Easiest way is purchase a "CARD READER" from any electronic mega store for about $10-18. Plug it into back of your PC and setup. Now take the card out from your Vivicam and insert it into the card reader and you are done. If not sure then ask any of your family or friend age between 12 to 29 years old and it should take them just 10 minutes to make it ready for you. Good luck.
