Here are the code for soft reset *#7380# and hard reset *#7370# nokia mobile. Hard reset delete data on your nokia e5 but it will also remove your security code and reset to default. this will unlock your nokia mobile. and it your mobile is sim locked than t-mobile unlock and at&t mobile sim unlock is different.
How to Network Unlock Att Mobile . in that case you need sim unlock code for your nokia. you can get free from online as per your imei number. even you can do bootloader unlock on your nokia mobile.

Nokia staff don't give answers here in the forum but for sure they are reading all our posts as I made a typographical error yesterday with apparently a third party application (instead of typing "NSU"- i typed something else) that can apparently debrand your phone - which I don't know of anyway.

Again abour 5 minutes ago, my answer to somenoe's thread have been deleted as I mentioned about "screws" on the back of the phone.

This forum "to me" is most pathetic forum where you post problems, and nokia support don't give help, and they delete answers that might help other users.

It seems to me they are only using us a guinea pigs to test their phones and their firmware/software. If nokia can't afford to pay testers, they should stop manufacturing **bleep** phones, or stop selling them.

For 5 consecutive incorrect passcodes, you will be prompted that you have entered incorrect password 5 times and need to wait for couple of minutes. You really have to wait, after waiting you can enter the default code 12345 then it should be working fine then. If in case that this won't work, you can try to hard reset phone by entering *#7370# and you will need to select yes for restoring to factory defaults. Remember that it will delete the settings and data saved in the phone not on the memory card but it will still be advisable for you to have a back up of everything before doing so.

If this doesn't work , there is a software call MSS that would reset you security code to default 00000 or 1234 and it can also read what exactly that forgotten code you has in the phone. Search for the this and other similar software on http://www.dotsis.com/

Since you don't know the lock code, you will not be able to reset the mobile.

Or else, if your phone is under warranty ,just bring back to the dealer where you purchased it or find the local dealer and give them the papers which identify that you are the owner of the phone. They will be able to unlock it. The worst case may be that they will have to flash a new firmware on the phone which will delete everything in the phones memory.

If your phone is asking security code then it is locked.If you know your phone's security code you enter it.If you don't know the code please don't try because if the security code is wrong about 3 times then it will ask puk number and it will be more complications.If you didn't changed your security code default security code for Nokia mobile is 12345,Please try it.
