Says cOmPuter cannot talk to printer

    I have had the same problem with my computer. I reinstalled the software and it worked for a few weeks before doing the same thing. It was under warranty and I was given a new printer. This one had the same problem. I'm not an expert on printers, but I think the whole x2350 has a problem.

Okay you will need to make sure all the cables are plugged in and you need to make sure the drivers and the software are installed. If they are installed and it doesn't work right you need to uninstall them and then after restarting your computer reinstall the software.

unplug printer from power outlet...it must be unplugged

go to lexmark website and download software for your computer

put your pointer on the taskbar and right click, there is a toolbars option, see if lexmark is listed in the toolbars, check it and hopefully you get what you want

I HAVE A lEXMARK 2300. I CANNOT FIND THE START UP DISC. I NEED TO PRINT SOMETHING OFF OF MY NEW COMPUTER AND CANNOT. BECAUSE NO SOFTWARE.
Go to www.lexmark.com and click on DRIVERS AND DOWNLOADS. Then use the DRIVER FINDER. In SEARCH BY MODEL, type in 2300 and you can choose a driver from there.

Lexmark 2300 all in one not scanning
I had this same problem.
For some reason when the printer installs, the scanner is disabled.

You will need to be on a user with administrative rights to complete this fix.
Also be sure you have downloaded and istalled the latest drivers from Lexmarks site.
  • Right click my computer.
  • Select manage from the dropdown menu.
  • Press continue if a UAC popup comes up.
  • In the left pane click Device Manager.
  • From the list of devices, expand "Imaging devices".
  • Right click on the lexmark xxxx-xxxx series.
  • Select enable.
Windows should automatically find the driver you installed and the scanner should would without a hitch now.
