Manual i lost my manual on how to program my remote to use my rca tv and i would greatly appreciate it if some one could even give me a run down and the codes thank you very much.

Are you referring to the remote that came with your TV? If so I do not believe it is possible to program that particular remote to control other devices besides the TV. The first link below is to the manual for your TV. There is nothing in it about controlling other devices. They want you to buy a Universal Remote along with the TV. They are so thoughtful.":)

I had trouble with the ethompson link

Turn on device.
Press and hold the button for device you want to program ( TV etc),
press the on/off button and hold until the LED turns on, and then release both buttons.
Then, point the remote at the device, press and release PLAY and wait 5 seconds or until the LED stops flashing. If the device does not turn off, then continue to press play and wait the required interval (for a maximum of 20 times) until the device turns off.
When the device turns off, stop pressing play.
Press REVERSE, wait two seconds and continue doing this until the device turns back on.
To finish programming, press and hold STOP until the LED turns off.
