I bought the fca202 interface and plugged it into my mac and it worked fine for an hour or two. and then it just cut off and whenever i try and switch my mac on it doesnt start up, just a black screen. i can unplug the fca202 and the mac carries on starting up as if nothing was wrong. the interface might just be faulty and needs taking back, but i thought id try somethings before i do that.

I had a similar problem where as I could use the mic no problem at all but couldn't hear anything through the headphones. The simple solution was to disable the driver for my internal soundcard. It took me 48 hours to work it out! Good luck.
