You said you tried hooking the HDMI up directly from the TV to each component, and that worked. How is it usually hooked up - through some kind of switch? I'm not completely understanding your setup here.
I have the same receiver SR7005 and the HDMI board went out. The boards are on back order and weren't expected to ship for a month or so. Magnolia, the store where I purchased it gave me a new receiver. I think they might be having issues with this board. The board went out on 4/30/12, just got my new receiver 6/21/12. I have a feeling that this will happen again and others will have the same issue. All you need is a new HDMI board, the processor went out in it.
In this type of situation the solution would be to complete what is called a Front Panel Reset, this can be completed by completely unpluggin the receivers power cord from the wall and leaving unplugged for 10 seconds and then plug back in- but do NOT power your receiver back on. The receiver will complete a reset process which may take up to 5 minutes, during this time the receiver will power back on by itself and go through the necessary screens, once the receiver finishes downloading the program guide you will be able to verify if the DVR issues are resolved. If this problem happens repeatedly or has already happened repeatedly, please contact me directly so I can assist you and we can rectify the DVR issue with another option. If the issue has not been resolved already or you are still experiencing please e-mail me at [email protected]. I hope this helps you! -Kirstie DISH Network
The battery was completely dead. I must not have had the cord plugged in to my lighter, or maybe it wasn't sitting properly on the cradle, and it was running on battery power. I found that when I charged it by the computer, it was ok. It is working with no problems, now.
