SOURCE: Need code for Emerson TV,DVD,VCR Combo

I don't have a code book for you, but I can tell you how to program the RCR660 using the automatic programming feature.

Programming RCA model RCR660 (no code search button)

While following these instructions, keep the following in mind:

device = the component you wish to control with your remote (TV, DVD, VCR, etc.)

DEVICE = the button labeled for the component you wish to program

1. Turn on the device you wish to program.
2. Turn off all other devices in the general vicinity.
2. Press and hold DEVICE
3. While holding DEVICE down, press ON/OFF and hold them both down until the LED turns on for that device.
4. Release both buttons.
5. Point the remote at the device, press and release PLAY and wait 5 seconds or until the LED stops flashing.
6. If the device does not turn off, then continue to press PLAY and wait the required interval (for a maximum of 20 times) until the device turns off.
7. When the device turns off, press REVERSE, wait two seconds and continue doing this until the device turns back on.
8. To finish programming, press and hold STOP until the LED turns off.

Recording speed is the last item on the timer programming. SP or SLP. Some remotes have a button that will allow you to change the speed, when recording manually.

How do I hook up my Toshiba DVD player to my old Daewoo Tv /vcr combo

what inputs does the old Daewood / VCR combo use is it RCA and Video cable on an AV input? How many Av inputs are there in TV ? Does the DVD player have AV out audio out (Yellow) RCA (Red and White). If you do not have enough AV inputs on the Tv use an AV switch box . and Switch two AV RCA inputs /DVD and VCR and into one output to the TV. You may be able to feed the AV out RCA out into the VCR AV in and switch the input on the VCR.

My tv says dew on it how do i fix it

Hello
This is a common fault seen with VCRs. If the drum motor head gets misted, the due sensor connected with it will sense it and will show "Dew" on display. Let the set switch ON for some time, say over 2 hours or so. The switch it OFF and the switch it ON again. If this process doesn't help you, the dew sensor circuit inside the VCR section of your combo must be checked well. It is not a user repairable item. Contact any experienced service technician or RCA Authorised Service Center at your town. OK.

Vcr non-function

Theres no reset as I know but I only had a couple of these types of RCA and both had tv problems.. In todays VCR's there are no belts to replace or go bad. Mostly all nylon gears and plasic chassis. Most of the faults that lie with todays VCR's are bad Capstan motors ,defective tape loading carriages, defective mode switchs or sometimes even bad cylinder motors. If any of the gears break or cracks it will completely throw the unis mechaism out of alighnment and you will need to know from the manual where to set every gear ,lever and switch or it will never work.. Thats why most VCR;'s today are throwaway as you have to buy a service manual spoend time finding out why the mechanism dosent work and then buy the parts to correct the fualt. Good Luck to ya and heres a # you can call if you do decide to take the unit in for service by an RCA guy.. https://www.rca.com/secure/service/contactrca/1,,,00.html
