The game system is 3 years old. It has stopped reading any and all discs. Any troubleshooting tips?
You will need a Magnifying glass, Flashlight, Toothpick, and Paper towels.
What you need to do is access your laser, and make sure the laser optics are clean. Using the magnifying glass and flashlight, inspect the lens for dust, smudges and lint. Using a Toothpick with a small piece of paper towel swab the lens to clean it. If you need a Cleaning solution, use Windex. If this does not solve the problem, Get a new KHS-400C laser from Ebay. When the new laser arrives, you will need to remove solder blobs from the ribbon circuit strip on the bottom of the laser. These are two small solder blobs near the Ribbon cable connector. I do this with soldering iron, Vise ( to hold the laser), and Solder wick.
